Seems like Citroën is very serious about grabbing the spotlight in the premium segment of the market and for starters they are going ahead with production of the GTbyCITROËN supercar concept.
The GTbyCITROËN was first unpacked as a full scale model at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Soon it will be going on a sight-seeing road trip to a few motoring events. The first will be the 24 Hours Nürburgring race on May 23rd. There it will take a lap of honour and the spectators will be able to get up close and personal with it at the stand of Citroën partner Polyphony from May 20th.
Then on June 12th it will be in the company of other (real) supercars in the “Grande Parade des Pilotes” at the Le Mans 24 Hours. It will be taking part in a presentation by the 150 drivers who are part of the 50 teams that take part in the race.
Last but not least attendees of the Goodwood Festival of Speed (3 – 5 July) in the UK will get to see the GTbyCITROËN.
The featured concept had LED lights, 21-inch wheels, wide wheel arches and gullwing doors. Rumours are that it will get V8 power from either Ford or General Motors.
